Asemic Writing Workshops

What does it mean to seem to mean, and what lies beyond the surface impression of meaning?
These workshops explore how asemic writing practices encourage a confrontation with uncertainty, the edges of possibility, and thus a politics that challenges dominant structures of society. Workshops introduced the rich history of asemic art and writing, and gave participants the opportunity to try markmaking techniques in response to asemic writing prompts. Together, we strove to confront and make peace with the unknown.
